How to Find Any YouTube Channel ID: Step-by-Step
Finding a channel ID is straightforward when using the right methods. Here are the three most common ways to retrieve it.
Method 1: Use Ucha's Active Lookup Tool
The fastest way is using our homepage utility:
- Copy the link of any YouTube video, Shorts, or channel page.

Method 2: Use Browser "View Page Source"
If you prefer a manual approach without tools:
- Navigate to the YouTube channel page in your desktop web browser.
- Right-click anywhere on the page and select "View Page Source" (or press
Ctrl+U/Cmd+Option+U). - Press
Ctrl+ForCmd+Fto open the find search bar. - Search for
externalIdorchannelId. The 24-character string starting withUCfollowing this key is the Channel ID.
Method 3: Inside Your YouTube Settings
To retrieve your own Channel ID:
- Log in to your account and visit youtube.com/account_advanced.

- Copy the 24-character ID starting with UC directly.
