How to Find Any YouTube Channel ID: Step-by-Step

Finding a channel ID is straightforward when using the right methods. Here are the three most common ways to retrieve it.

Method 1: Use Ucha's Active Lookup Tool

The fastest way is using our homepage utility:

  1. Copy the link of any YouTube video, Shorts, or channel page.
  2. Paste it directly into the search bar at Ucha's YouTube ID Finder.
  3. Click "Find Channel ID" to get the 24-character UC ID instantly.

Method 2: Use Browser "View Page Source"

If you prefer a manual approach without tools:

  1. Navigate to the YouTube channel page in your desktop web browser.
  2. Right-click anywhere on the page and select "View Page Source" (or press Ctrl+U / Cmd+Option+U).
  3. Press Ctrl+F or Cmd+F to open the find search bar.
  4. Search for externalId or channelId. The 24-character string starting with UC following this key is the Channel ID.

Method 3: Inside Your YouTube Settings

To retrieve your own Channel ID:

  1. Log in to your account and visit youtube.com/account_advanced.
  2. Under the "Advanced settings" page, you will see a dedicated row for your User ID and Channel ID.
  3. Copy the 24-character ID starting with UC directly.
